The Yaak Rod and Gun Club is sponsoring a free "Survival Class" on Saturday, March 27th from 10:00 to noon at the Yaak Rod and Gun Club. It is free, with coffee and donuts provided. Instructors are Jon Obst adn Phil Kilbreath of the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks. Please call Jim Mayo at 295-3406 to register in advance. (PALMER)

EVERYBODY: It's time to start thinking about our annual WINGS fundraiser. The event will run from April 5 to 16. What do YOU think would be a good incentive to raise money? A class field trip? Shave Mr. Lizotte's soul patch? Make a teacher kiss a pig? I NEED YOUR IDEAS!!! See Mr. Palmer anytime between now and spring break (March 26) with your suggestions. MAY THE BEST CLASS WIN!!!!!!!!! The Drama Department will be presenting “Gone with the Breeze” Wednesday & Thursday evenings (March 24th & 25th) at 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Ticket prices are: $4.00 adults & $3.00 students. (T. SMITH)

Tennis girls: There are openings on the tennis team for high school girls. If you’ve never played we can teach you. You learn a life long sport, have fun, get some sun and wear a great tennis uniform. (PRIEVES)

Junior High students who are participating in the Silverwood Reading Program need to have their tally sheets turned in by March 24th. You can turn them in to Mrs. Miller. (MILLER)

Foreign Language Club meeting Friday at break. Your money for the play is due at the meeting. (CHIAVERINI)

Sophomores will take first lunch on Tuesday-Thursday for Montcas testing. (PALMER)

Junior High Track will start Monday, March 22nd after school. Meet down at the track. You must have a physical to participate. For your information track involves running. Now you know. (MR. JONES)

SENIORS: Nearly all of the local scholarship applications have arrived and are ready for you to pick up and complete. There are about five that I am still waiting to receive--keep checking in.
MOST of these scholarship applications are due between April 15 and May 8. It is YOUR JOB to stay on top of this process. Since you have 6 to 8 weeks to complete these, there is really no excuse for procrastinating and doing a sloppy "rush" job just before the deadline.
I will be happy to assist you in any way I can. Stop by my office and check 'em out! (PALMER)

ALL 7th, 8th, and 10th grade students: You will be taking the MontCAS tests next week. All tests will be during second and third blocks.
7th graders will test with their second block teachers.
8th graders will test in Mr. Jones' room
10th graders will test in Mr. Smith's room.
7th graders will test on Tuesday and Wednesday. 8th and 10th graders will test on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. IF YOU MISS ANY OF THESE TESTS, you will have to make them up the following week. PLEASE do everything in your power to be here those days so you don't have to miss other classes doing make-up tests. (PALMER)

Winter Sports Awards will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 23rd. (MR. MAC)

PROM is Saturday, March 20, 8:00-midnight. Grand March at 8:30. Parents BOOTED at 9:00. Masks are REQUIRED. They can be purchased from the Art Club, handmade, bought at Walmart, OR you can paint a mask on your face. Whatever you choose, remember this is a formal dance and all typical dress codes apply. No hockey masks, zombie masks, paper sacks, etc. Emergency masks will be available at the door for those who need them for $4. Prom tickets are for sale during lunch in the auditorium, must be purchased in advance, and are $12 single/$20 couple. (RALSTON)

Ms. Willis’s room will be open 1 hour after school on Tuesday & Thursday afternoons. You can catch up on homework, type essays, do research etc. (WILLIS)
